How you can help
Prayer – LMSI and the various ministries it helps develop will likely encounter great spiritual resistance. For example, the Philippines has a strong presence of witchcraft. Witches, locally called aswangs, cast spells and cause fear over people.
Physical resistance may also be a reality in some cases. The southern Philippine island of Mindanao and the nearby countries of Malaysia and Indonesia have a strong presence of Islam. More Muslims live in Indonesia than any other country in the world – including those countries in the Middle East. These areas have resistance to the Gospel. In some places, laws are being implemented to hinder the spread of the gospel.
Writers – Writers are needed to help write teachers guides and other materials related to the schools.
Researchers – There is need for researchers to help find additional public domain material in PDF format that is suitable for the Bible schools. Materials found will be reviewed to determine if and when they will be used.
Donations of smartphones and computers - any used smartphone or computer with internet capability will help the schools and students.
Financial Giving – Because LMSI is designed to reduce cost for both the schools and the students, there is substantial financial need. Some specific needs:
Loukas Ministry Schools International is recognized as a 501(c)3 organization by the US government. The means that US residents who financially give to Loukas can deduct their donations on their US taxes.

- Student electronic devices – In the first school, all students, except one, had at least a smart phone. There is consideration of assisting students in obtaining a smart phone, if needed in the future. (The intention is not to buying it outright for them.) Typical monthly wages are the equivalent of 100-200 USD per month. A good used smart phone is available in the Philippines for the equivalent of 75 USD.
- Equipment – Some specific equipment may be needed for schools from time to time.
- Travel expenses - there is a need to travel to schools that exist and are planned.
- Other needs as they arise in the future
