Loukas Ministry Schools International (LMSI) is a US based organization set up for the training of ministers for the work of the Lord in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world.
Jesus said in the 10th chapter of Luke
After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Luke 10:1-2 NKJV
'Loukas' is a Greek word meaning 'illuminating'. We seek to assist in the 'illuminating' of people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
To achieve this 'illuminating', LMSI uses a combination of teachers and technology. This includes:
When downloaded from the cloud, the material can be used by any computer, tablet or smart phone that has the Adobe Acrobat program or smart phone app. The Adobe Acrobat program and smart phone app are free. The ability to download the materials to these electronic devices will allow students to study and research even when away from an internet connection. In the case of a smart phone, the student can literally have a small library in their pocket.

To achieve this 'illuminating', LMSI uses a combination of teachers and technology. This includes:
- Use of electronic books instead of paper and ink books - Use of material in electronic form instead of paper and ink. Public domain books in PDF format are stored on public cloud computing resources (the ‘cloud’). Since these books are public domain, there will not be any costs for the electronic books to the schools or the students. The ‘cloud’ consists of non-local resources where information is stored and from which applications can be run. Though the precise location of the stored material is not known in the cloud, it is immediately accessible from anywhere in the world that has internet access. Any affiliate school or student will be able to access these materials.

- Allow students the ability to research in online libraries
- Download material from the cloud
- Use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). This allows teachers and students to talk over the internet, and also allow video calls over the internet. Providers of these services include Viber, Skype, Facebook Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and others. Many of these services are free.
- Teachers that are local or remote – Because of technology, teachers can be local to any school or in other places in the world.
